In the church
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” – Ps 147.
The Healing Mass is a time to come before the Lord with our needs, our gratitude, and our hope. Through the Eucharist, prayer, and praise, we open our hearts to God’s healing touch — whether that’s physical healing, peace in times of worry, or strength in life’s struggles.
The evening included uplifting music, a short time of praise and worship, prayer ministry, and a Mass celebrated in the spirit of openness to the Holy Spirit.
Healing Mass – what to expect
A special Healing Mass at Our Lady Queen of Apostles Church, in conjunction with CCR Perth. Organised by the parish's Spiritual Renewal Ministry, this was a parish celebration centred on prayer, praise, and God’s healing love — for body, mind, and spirit. This was not just an event for those already involved in the Charismatic prayer group — it was for the whole parish family.
A Healing Mass is simply a chance to open our hearts to Jesus, pray for one another, and ask for God’s healing in body, mind, and spirit.
It’s for everyone in our parish – you don’t need to be part of the Charismatic prayer group.
It’s a normal Catholic Mass – with extra focus on prayer for healing and God’s love.
Music and praise – uplifting songs help us pray with joy.
Prayer ministry – if you wish, you can receive personal prayer from the prayer team; if not, you can simply pray quietly.
Come as you are – you can join in as much or as little as you feel comfortable. Come and be part of this time of prayer for our parish and for one another.

On 14-15 March 2025, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of FAST24 Perth with a record attendance (post-pandemic record) of nearly 60 registered participants. Coinciding with the Parish Retreat, this year's event theme was Pilgrims of Hope, Apostles for Today, which calls us to holiness in today's world: discussing the challenges of being Catholic today; to rediscover and renew our Christian mission; and grow as a community of Hope.
FAST24 is more than just another retreat—it is an opportunity to deepen your faith through Lenten prayer, fasting, inspiring talks, and fellowship. Whether you are new to the experience or returning for another year, come and be part of this transformative journey that has been organised at the parish since 2016.

For many years, our parish has gathered to celebrate the joy of Christmas through our annual Carols Service. It is a tradition that began many years ago as an ecumenical service. Today, it brings together our diverse community, especially our parishioners from different migrant backgrounds who have a habit of travelling during the end-of year holiday season. For everyone who attended, it was an opportunity to lift our voices in praise to God, and then share a light meal after the event.
This year, it was a thrill to introduce a children's choir, led by parents and members of our Children's Liturgy of the Word ministry. It was a heart-warming sight to see the children dressed in nativity costumes. We even had a Little Donkey!
If you missed it this year, this video is for you. Don't miss the magic of our 2024 Carols Service.
And we invite you to our Christmas Masses this year -- on Christmas Eve night and Christmas Day morning -- which will be an even bigger celebration than the carols service. The Christmas Mass schedule and details can be found in our parish bulletin. All are welcome to experience the spirit of Christmas with us.
Thanks to everyone who took part in this year's carols service, especially those who helped out behind-the-scenes by organising the food and cleaning up after. Thank you to all parish volunteers, musicians and singers, for your time, commitment and effort. Don't forget to share this video with your friends and invite them to next year's event!
More than 100 people took part in this year's Thanksgiving Dinner for Parish Volunteers & Helpers, which was held on Friday evening 8 Nov 2024.
It was a fun evening and the food was delicious.
We wish to thank everyone who took part, especially those who helped out behind-the-scenes by organising and promoting, cooking and cleaning.
Thank you to all our parish volunteers and helpers!
More than 50 people attended the first combined Parish Renewal Retreat and Youth Camp at Bickley Outdoor Recreation Centre in the Perth Hills.
The 2024 retreat theme was "Anointed For Service".
For the first time, the Parish Renewal Retreat, which was held from 12th to 13th July 2024, overlapped with the parish youth camp, which began on 11th July and also themed "Anointed For Service".
There were separate programs and parallel activities designed for the participating adults and teenagers respectively. A highlight of the retreat was the Mass celebrated by our parish priest Fr Paul Manickathan SAC on the final night.
The Parish Renewal Retreat program was led by members of the Parish Pastoral Council and designed specifically for adult parishioners.
The youth camp was led by Catholic Youth Apostolate and catered to the interest level and understanding of teenagers. Parents of the teenagers were invited to join in the Mass and dinner on the final night as well.
We wish to thank everyone who took part, especially those who helped out behind-the-scenes by organising and promoting, cooking and cleaning, as well as other donations and giving.
