A shared Lenten experience of faith renewal
Lent is an invitation to pause, return, and allow God to renew us. FAST24 offers a simple but meaningful way to step away from daily routines and spend time in prayer, reflection, and conversation with others who desire a deeper life in Christ.
Faith renewal is not a one-time event. It is a journey that begins with encounter and continues through reflection and transformation. FAST24 creates space for this journey, inspired by the Walk to Emmaus (Luke 24:13–35), where hearts were stirred and eyes were opened through shared listening, Scripture, and the breaking of bread.
Faith renewal in parish / community life
In parish communities, renewal begins when we move beyond simply maintaining routines and rediscover our passion for Christ and His mission. FAST24 invites fresh reflection on what it means to live as a Catholic apostolate and a cenacle-on-mission: a community formed in prayer and sent out in love.
Through prayer, thoughtful input, and shared conversation, FAST24 seeks to strengthen our parish community and foster connections with the wider Church, both locally and beyond.
In the Gospel, the disciples on the road to Emmaus said: “Were not our hearts burning within us while He spoke to us on the way and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32). Their encounter led them to return at once and share the Good News.
This year's theme: Always Returning, Always Becoming
Always Returning
Faith includes moments of drifting and moments of return. Sometimes we feel distant from God ourselves. At other times, we carry concern for loved ones who seem unsure how to find their way home.
God’s mercy meets us where we are. Every prayer, every act of kindness, every moment of listening becomes a pathway back to Him—for ourselves and for others.
Returning is not only personal. When we draw closer to God, our compassion and faith naturally touch the lives of those around us.
Always Becoming
Becoming is not about perfection or achievement. It is about allowing God to shape our hearts through love and mercy.
Each step toward Christ deepens our capacity for hope, courage, and love. Transformation unfolds gradually, and Lent reminds us that every return carries the seed of renewal.
Returning and becoming belong together. We are never finished; our growth in faith is ongoing.
Why FAST24?
FAST24 provides a shared space to experience this sacred rhythm together.
Those who feel distant from God can return without fear. Those who are steady in faith can be encouraged and strengthened to witness with love and courage.
This Lent, we are invited to journey both paths—to return, and to become—and to recognise how this rhythm shapes our lives.
Always returning. Always becoming.
